They usually do hun, you just have to pay for them because you’re expected to be responsible for your own damn period.
For free. Like hand soap and toliet paper. Because its a public health issue.
What part of “you’re expected to be responsible for your own damn period” don’t you understand? I thought I was pretty clear there.
Why are we responsible for our own damn periods, but not our own damn assholes? There’s no reason why toliet paper should be provided but not tampons and pads.
Because you’re a damn adult. Suck it up and stop acting like a baby who wants to be handed things. Because I can guarantee you that you won’t like the tampons you’d get for free. For heaven’s sake, have you ever even used public restroom toilet paper? Now imagine having to use tampons as rough and cheap as that, because that’d what you’d get for free.
So put on your big girl panties and either start carrying around extras or some quarters. It’s not that hard.
If men had menstrual cycles, we’d have free tampons AND pads so cut the bullshit we all know what this is about
Or men would be mature enough to take care of their own needs and not demand everybody else do it for them.
The mental gymnastics required to be such a flaming misogynist is really amazing.
Ah yes, the person that actually has high expectations of women is the misogynist because I actually treat them like responsible adults and not needy children who need things handed to them.
You don’t actually have “high expectations” of women, you’re just an asshole.
You’re welcome to think that.
And I’ll just go on thinking that the people who keep implying women are incapable of taking care of their own periods without being handed things for free have incredibly low expectations of women.
The only person using the phrase “handed things” is you.
You also made a comparison to hypothetical male periods to actual female periods, saying men would “be mature enough to take care of their own needs and not demand everyone do it for them”, implying ALL women are immature and don’t already take care of their own needs (also assuming all women are capable of doing so). That’s inherently misogynistic, NOT having “high standards”.
Saying women are immature because one person questioned a business’s lack of menstrual supplies for female employees, and then calling ALL women immature as if that one person represents ALL women, is misogynistic. It’s also incredibly revealing about what you think of poor women or women who live in communities and societies that demonize and ostracize them for having their periods, situations where women do not have the option of obtaining and/or paying for their own menstrual supplies.
1) If you’re asking for free things, you’re asking to have things handed to you. Because that’s what free means.
2) I did not say all women are immature, nor imply. But women that expect to get things handed to them? Immature and irresponsible.
3) Considering I am one of those poor women, I don’t know what you think it reveals. Surprisingly, I still manage to keep pads on me, because I’m a mature adult that knows I can’t expect anybody to take care of my needs but myself.
When I learned about periods I always had an extra pad and a fresh pair of panties anywhere I go, If a fucking 11 year old knew how to take care of shit then hundreds of female adults should know that in the worst times there aren’t anything or anyone to help you.
It’s really not as hard as these people keep trying to make it seem.
its like saying people should get free shirts because people can get dressed by themselves, because it’s a public health issue people.
Menstrual blood =/= partial nudity?
Why is toliet paper provided but not tampons?

You still haven’t answered the question. Why is toliet paper provided but not tampons?
What about in schools? Should young girls experiencing their periods for the first time, or those who are too busy stressing about exams to remember to pack extras have to suffer because some people are too selfish to help people with periods?
“Oh no stress makes me forget things” you know who that effects? EVERYONE, why should you get free shit because of it
Because its a matter of public health to not have a stranger’s menstrual blood on your bus seat, buddy.
If she bled out on the bus then what help would a tampon in the bathroom be? If your argument is “free tampons in public bathrooms will improve public health” how are women who have no tampons supposed to get to the bathroom before bleeding everywhere exactly? Also never call me buddy, bud or any other version you could think of, only my friends get to call me that
Pal buddy mcfriendo hey what if we provided girls who are in poverty with supplies so that they don’t cause Bloodborne epidemics. Menstrual health is public health my guy
Now you’re all trolls
Tampons are five dollars a box, and a box will more often than not get her through a cycle, what is stopping her from buying her own, in what other case are items handed out because it will help public health, because I can’t think of any
So wait, are the tampons so inordinately expensive that businesses will go bankrupt buying even the few they need for the rare cases they might be needed? Or are they so dirt cheap that theres no reason that preteens living in poverty wouldnt be able to buy them? It cant be both.

Dude, you think everybody is a misogynist. It’s weird how Feminists want to be independent and on equal footing with men but demand people to pay for their stuff.
Is it weird how cis men think they are so high and mighty but need other people to buy toilet paper and hand soap for them?

Well, bud, my thought process was that this hypothetical person hadnt had access to a tampon for most of the day, pal, and if public restrooms had tampons, amigo, they could have gotten a pad or tampon earlier in the day before riding the bus, comrade. Because, chum, you see a period lasts for several days, mate.
Now your just being a bitch
If a girl was in the middle of her period she would have the products with her, and you didn’t answer the question, if a girl’s cycle “snuck up on her” and she had no way of knowing it was about to happen and she started bleeding outside of the bathroom how would tampons in the bathroom improve public health?
Thats me. Im a big ole bitch, buddy.
If she were in public, she could then GO TO A PUBLIC RESTROOM. this isnt a hard concept, friend. Having easy public access to hygiene products is beneficial for public health. Like it is better to go 10 minutes without a pad than it is to go 8 hours without one. Obviously.
Now you’re a troll
She is already bleeding on things, detrimental to public health
Is it’s her first time her mother will most likely have one
If she understands it she’ll most likely have one
If she’s homeless she’s most likely in a shelter as they’ll have
Now I’ll ask again, why do you want to force businesses to buy tampons when they will not improve public health because women can’t get to them in time, and since most women will have their own
Im not trolling my own post, amigo.
The hypothetical situation where this person has bled on the bus seat is in a situation where no tampons are available in a public space. But if they were, they could have gotten access to one before they bled through their clothes.
This involves a very basic understanding of how periods work.
Important hygiene products should be available in public spaces and businesses for the same reason hand soap is.
I said that cause I didn’t want to say bitch twice
So now we need tampons on the bus?
Which is a better lesson to teach, “remember your stuff,” or “don’t worry what you need will be provided”
Businesses shouldn’t be forced to do anything because they are privately owned, they provide hand soap because they choose to, if you think they should provide tampons too then don’t shop in places where they don’t
Business provide hand soap because they are LEGALLY REQUIRED TO.
And no, smart one. Buses typically dont have bathrooms on them. How long do you think people typically spend on a public bus? What about this hypothetical situation is confusing for you?
Would you feel better if we changed the hypothetical so it is easier for you to understand? Ok “ Because its a matter of public health to not have a stranger’s menstrual blood on your MOVIE THEATER seat, buddy.”
Does that make it easier for you?
And I’m not concerned about making sure women “learn their lesson” I’m concerned about the public health issue of menstrual blood being taken care of in a hygienic way.
I carry this water bottle around on purpose because I know the kids will ask me why I have a pink one. This is how every convo has gone:
Kids: Mr.C Why do you have a pink water bottle?
Me: Because I like pink, why?
Kids: Pink is for girls
Me: Why?
Kids: ummmmmmm
Me: Do you know why it’s for girls?
Kids: No it just is
That’s when I go into a brief lesson about how pink is JUST a color (I am the art teacher so they think I am the authority on colors) for everyone.
As a teacher I am trying my hardest to re-educate these kids in the most non threatening way possible. It will take them a minute to understand that pink isn’t a “girl color”, but a color we can all love
I love you for this
erasing gender essentialism is MEGA IMPORTANT!
“I am the art teacher so they think I am the authority on colors”
Hello yes the color authorities are here we would like you to please stop gendering colors

many many many children get periods ya know…
Does it sound like I’m talking about children, hun? Because I’m not. I’m talking about grown ass adults who are fully capable of taking care of themselves.
And we’re talking about EVERYONE who may need access to these products.
And you still have answered the question: Why is toilet paper provided and not tampons?
To answer the anon with sincerity, I’m a buff guy who wears pink, so what? Pink is not universally regarded as a feminine color, even in many cultures around the world, the color pink has always been an accepted color for all genders and has a great symbolic and traditional value ranging from love to commemorative occasions, and so I wear pink occasionally to the Mosque and they never bat an eye on me. I’m confused that a color, such as pink, let alone, any color is considered to fall into some gender role. Nowadays, color is a marketing tool directed at certain demographics. No one has the monopoly over colors nor are they determined by gender roles.
There’s no shame in wearing it. It’s just a color.
Pink Beaches, Bermuda: The pink sand is the result of millions of tiny red sea creatures, such as clams, mollusks as well as other invertebrate, that have been crushed by the powerful waves of the mid-Atlantic ocean. When they wash up on the beach, they blend with the sand, turning it an amazing pink color. (Source)
Its so pretty, yet so, so morbid…
